What CEAI is
CEAI brings professionals from different fields together at one address to care for neurodivergent children and adolescents. The idea is that families find in one place the care their child needs, with a team that talks to each other.
According to a Bastidores da TV report (2026), CEAI’s proposal is to “go beyond treating symptoms and work toward patients’ autonomy, independence in activities of daily living and social inclusion” (free translation).
How care is organized
- A plan for each child. Care follows an Individual Therapeutic Plan, built by the team around that child’s needs.
- Multidisciplinary team. Different specialties follow the same child and coordinate their work with each other.
- Review every 15 days. The team meets every two weeks to review each child’s progress and update the plan’s goals.
- Guidance for families. Psychoeducation for mothers, fathers and caregivers, so care continues at home.
